Here are a few tips on getting the most of your calendar in Mac OS Lion and Mountain Lion.
Swipe to change Months.
Easily switch between months by swiping across the trackpad with 2 fingers. You’re even rewarded with a beautiful page-turn effect.
Quickly add events and appointments by text.
A brilliant time saver! Use the + button in the top left of the window and write an appointment as if you would say it to a friend. The calendar will automatically detect what you have written and add it to the calendar. For example try “Dinner at 7pm on Wednesday” or “Holiday from Aug 24 – 30″
Duplicate/Copy events with the ‘ALT’ or ‘Option’ Key.
If you would like an extra copy of an event follow these instructions:
- Make sure you are in the week or month view.
- Hold down the ALT or Option key on your keyboard.
- Drag an event to a new day or time. (a copy is created, rather than moving the original)
