I love editing photos and iPhoto does a pretty good job on my Mac, but when I want to really get my photos looking the way I wanted I use Aperture (£60) or Photoshop Elements (£80). From there I can really start making fine adjustments to the tones, levels and so on and and adding effects such as a vignette to finish it off.
The trouble is, this software doesn’t come cheap and being pro software, they’re not alway user friendly. However a really well designed app called SnapSeed entered the photo editing fray back in 2011 for both Mac and iPad. It allows you to make pro edits to your photos really easily, and it’s pretty fun too.
Why am I telling you this now? Well, Google have recently aquired a the company who develop SnapSeed and in doing so have made it completely free!
If you want to get more out of your photos, and save a few pennies. Give SnapSeed a go. You won’t look back.
