A simple tip to organise your contacts on your Mac or iCloud. Although you cannot currently create groups on the iPad or iPhone, any groups you create will still show after you sync your contacts with your device.
1. On a Mac open the Contacts App. Choose File > New Group and then enter a name for your new group.
If you’re using iCloud, log in to icloud.com, click the Contacts App and show Groups by clicking on the red bookmark. Press the + button at the bottom of the window to create a group.
2. Select Contacts. Tip: Hold down the cmd key to select more than one at a time.
3. Drag them to your group!
