Many of our clients are thrilled that Microsoft have released Outlook 2015 for Mac. However, when importing data from Outlook 2011 the following error sometimes shows up
The message reads: You can import data to a new profile only. Start Outlook with a new Profile to import your data.
To open with a new profile, you first need to delete the old profile. Office 2011 stored your profile in your Documents Folder. The new Outlook 15 hides your profile deep within your user library.
If you need to delete your profile so that you can run the import wizard again you’ll need to navigate to the following folder to find your profile. (Called your Identify)
Macintosh HD ▸ Users ▸ User Name ▸ Library ▸ Group Containers ▸ UBF8T346G9.Office ▸ Outlook ▸ Outlook 15 Profiles
Delete the folder called Main Identity.
Restart Outlook and run the Import wizard again. Click File > Import.
You should now be able to import your Outlook 2011 data successfully!
